Sylvenstein

The Sylvenstein impounding reservoir belongs to the municipality of Lenggries in the district of Bad Tölz, embedded between mountains and untouched nature.  Crystal-clear water, which shines in bright turquoise when the sun is shining, invites you to linger. From here you can start many wonderful hikes or bike tours or just jump into the cool water and let your soul dangle on the undeveloped shores. With the standup paddle you can discover the 6.6 km² reservoir in a relaxed manner. At the water rescue service hut there is a public barbecue area with fire pits and the “Faller Hof” on the other side of the street offers refreshments. Königssee

The Königssee is nestled in the Berchtesgaden Alps in the south-east of Munich. The lake can only be visited by boat and is an unforgettable experience in both, summer and winter: emerald-green water and the mighty backdrop of the Watzmann, in which the trumpet echoes impressively echo. By boat you can reach St. Bartholomä with the pilgrimage church, a restaurant and a fisherman with tasty fresh fish. From here you also can start a circular hiking trail to the ice chapel. One station further by boat takes you to Salet. From here you can reach the Obersee after a ten minute walk. After another hour of walking through picturesque landscapes along the Obersee, you reach the idyllic “Fischunkelalm”. Hintersee

Wildly romantic and stunningly beautiful best describes the Hintersee near Ramsau in the Berchtesgaden Alps. Surrounded by steep mountain peaks, hills and the well-known magic forest. The Hintersee offers an incomparable idyll with beautiful natural spectacles. Enjoy a relaxing day with a hike through the magic forest, a picnic on the shores of the Hintersee and then take a leisurely boat trip across the crystal-clear water surface of the mountain lake. Bathing is possible at the official or freely accessible places. The water temperature reaches a maximum of 16°C.

Kirchsee

The Kirchsee is a small moor lake near Sachsenkam with a great view of the Alps. The Klosterbräustüberl Reutberg is nearby. In some places designated for the public, bathing in the relatively warm, dark but clean moor water is permitted. Since the lying areas are damp from below, it is advisable to take a seat on insulating mats or coated picnic blanekts. There is also a kiosk with toilets. Simssee

The Simssee is the little (unknown) sister of the Chiemsee. It’s location in a picturesque hilly landscape and in front of a wonderful mountain backdrop make it a popular destination between Rosenheim and Chiemsee. At the Simssee there are four recommended bathing spots, it is also possible to go fishing or sailing. The Simssee is located at five villages, which invite you to linger with beach kiosks, village restaurants, beer and grill gardens and gourmet restaurants. Tegernsee / Schliersee

There is a lot to discover and do in the Tegernsee / Schliersee region! Boat trips, hiking, cycling, museums, sauna & spa, Bavarian delecacies or gourmet restaurants, swimming, sunbathing, skiing, sledging… the possibilities are almost endless and best of all: it’s beautiful there!
